Whilst every effort is made to advise correctly on technical issues, we strongly advise you to contact the manufacturer concerned directly wherever possible. We cannot take responsibility for any consequences or costs that may arise from technical advice that we have given.

We can supply telephone numbers for all our suppliers listed on our website and, wherever possible, supply links from the items concerned.

Making A Purchase
Making a purchase from our website could not be easier. Just browse our catalogue and add any items that you wish to buy to the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on ‘checkout now’ and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.

We are happy to take orders via telephone or post.

Please Note: The payment on every order we receive, whether an item is in stock or not, is deferred, as we do not take any payment until and item is packed and ready for shipment. You will receive an e-mail confirming the deferred status of the order, but this is only to tell you that payment has not been taken at the point of ordering.

Please Note: We only accept orders for delivery to the UK or BFPO addresses

Please Note: We can only deliver to either the cardholders home or business address.

Payment Methods


We accept Visa, Mastercard, Switch / Maestro and Visa Debit. On-line you may choose to enter your card details or you may opt for ‘invoice and payment before delivery’. In the event of you opting for the aforementioned method, we will contact you to ensure that this was intentional. You will be given the option of sending a cheque (a delay will be necessary to ensure clearance of cheques) or to give us card details over the phone.

Cheques or Postal Orders should be made payable to Camera-shop.co.uk.

We can accept payment via bank transfer. Please contact us for further details.

Please Note: We can only accept credit card payments for cards registered in the UK.



Pricing


All prices shown are inclusive of VAT. Prices may be subject to change without notice. E & O.E.

If an item does NOT have a price, it is a new or special order item and a price and availability will be e-mailed to you as soon as possible. Please allow up to 7 working days for this, as it may take time to obtain information from our suppliers.

Please Note: Until we have confirmed the order to you no offer of sale is made. In the event that we decline to process your order we will contact you by e-mail to say so. The e-mail sent to you upon completion of your on-line order is merely an acknowledgement of receipt and is not a confirmation of sale.

Shipping And Handling
A delivery charge of £5.55 plus vat will be charged on all orders.

Please Note: We reserve the right to charge extra for any order that is heavy / bulky or that has to be shipped over water or to certain postcodes in the Highlands of Scotland.

Delivery Schedule

Providing the item is in stock and that we receive your order before 12pm, your order will be despatched at latest the next working day. If the item you have ordered is not in stock, we will endeavour to ship in three to four working days. However, there may be stock issues with our supplier over which we have no control.

In the event of an item being out of stock with our supplier, we will contact you to let you know and where possible give you an estimated delivery date, thus giving you the option to proceed with the order or cancel. (Please see our cancellations section for information on how to cancel an order.)

All goods are shipped via a well-know courier and occasionally via Royal Mail Special Delivery. We are able to track all of our parcels sent by either method until they reach the delivery address. Royal Mail Recorded Delivery is sometimes used for part shipments of low value goods. Please try to ensure that someone is available to sign for your parcel, as we must have a signature upon delivery. If no one is available to sign for the consignment, the courier will put a card through the letterbox showing a contact telephone number. You will then be able to arrange a time when you will be available to sign for the parcel or you will have the option to take the card, along with suitable I.D., to your local depot and collect from there.

Please Note: If you neglect to collect the parcel or re-arrange delivery as instructed on the card, we reserve the right to pass on the ‘return to sender’ charge plus any additional costs involved with re-sending the parcel.

Please Note: If you need any item for a particular deadline, please contact us and we will endeavour to accommodate your requirements.

Back Orders
If your item is not in stock, we will place a back-order for you. You will be e-mailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait. (Please see our cancellations section for information on how to cancel an order.)
Tax Charges
All orders are subject to 17.5 % VAT charge. Prices shown on-line include VAT.

Credit Card Security


We do not know of any documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system via the internet. We use a company called SECPay to manage our card payments.

SECPay is the UK’s largest independently owned processor of secure, real-time, online credit and debit card transactions, specialising in the provision of payment services for merchants on the internet, through call centres and for mail order fulfilment houses.

SECPay handles the capture, authorisation and settlement of credit and debit card payments and all the associated electronic and physical security required.

PCI COMPLIANCE

The Payment Card Industry has a recognised standard set of requirements governing the safekeeping of cardholder information throughout the transaction process. The PCI standard is applicable to all entities that store, process or transmit cardholder data.

SECPay utilises a Visa Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) to perform yearly assessments to ensure they maintain high security standards as required by the Payment Card Industry.

A Service and Technical Advice Line is available, for customers who have purchased an item from us, at standard BT Rates on (01562) 742118 during the hours of 8.30am – 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am – 2.30pm on Friday. An answer phone is available out of hours.

In the unlikely event of there being a complaint we undertake a policy in which we respond within 3 working days. This response will indicate both our intentions and the timescale in which we will endeavour to resolve any problems you may have.

Privacy Policy We do not disclose buyer’s information to third parties. Cookies are used on this shopping site, but only to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item.

Returns Policy
Claims for shortages and damages must be made within 7 days of receipt of goods.

a) Return of Goods which are damaged or faulty.

Please contact us initially to discuss the problem. Sometimes technical difficulties can be resolved by a telephone call from our technical team.

We have differing return procedures for faulty items depending on the item in question, so it is necessary for you to contact us so that we can ensure the quickest and most efficient way to deal with your problem.

In accordance with Trading Standards regulations we will:-

1) Where an item is faulty or damaged on arrival i.e. from the moment you

receive it, we will replace the item.

2) Where an item develops a fault within the manufacturers guarantee period,

we will firstly offer a repair.

Where a repair is not possible we will replace the item. Where a replacement is no longer available, we will offer an alternative, equivalent

item.

3) Where neither repair nor replacement is possible and some benefit has been had from the item, we will offer a partial refund.

4) Where neither repair nor replacement is possible and no benefit has been

had from the item, we will offer a full refund

If you wish to return any item, for any reason other than damage or fault, please ensure that it is well packed and is returned unused and in its original condition, within 7 days of receipt. All security seals must be intact and unopened.

Please quote your customer reference number and invoice number.

b) Return of Unwanted Goods where an exchange IS NOT required.


We regret that we are unable to refund any delivery costs that we have incurred in shipping your order. We are also unable to refund any cost that you have incurred in returning the unwanted item to us. A handling charge will be levied for returning goods under these circumstances. This will be either £20.00 incl. vat or 10% of the sale price, whichever is the lesser amount.

c) Return of Unwanted Goods where an exchange IS required.


We regret that we are unable to refund any delivery costs that we have incurred in shipping your order. We are also unable to refund any cost that you have incurred in returning the unwanted item to us. A handling charge will be levied for goods returned under these circumstances. This will be either £5.00 incl. vat or 10%, whichever is the lesser amount.



Please Note: We will not refund or exchange an item when a product has been ordered specially for you.

Please Note: Due to film being susceptible to light, heat, x-ray damage etc. we are unable to accept returned film. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Cancellations


If you wish to cancel an item(s) you have on order with us before it is shipped you must confirm it in writing by e-mail to orders@camera-shop.co.uk

If the item(s) in question has been shipped prior to us receiving your cancellation, please refer to our Returns Policy.
