The new Giottos MTL tripod series has been designed to meet the needs of today's demanding photographers. Features have been introduced to the 2008 range that include new quick action lever leg locks and a robust and durable "Cobalt" paint finish to the die cast aluminium parts.
Available in several sizes with either aluminium or carbon fibre legs and with either a classic vertical column or an adjustable multi-position column. There is sure to be a tripod in the range that will meet your requirements.
Giottos MT Travel Tripods
Restrictions on the amount and size of luggage that can be carried when travelling - particularly by air, mean that many photographers find themselves with a dilemma about which equipment they take with them. Unfortunately tripods, due to their sometimes bulky nature end up being left at home but Giotto's have created a range of tripods that will meet the needs of the travelling photographer.
With all the features of Giottos MTL series tripods but manufactured using smaller diameter tubing and a compact twist collar leg lock system, these Giottos MT series tripods will offer you the stability you need without taking up too much space in your luggage.
Giottos 3-Way Head
Ideal for photography where precise camera positioning is crucial, each axis of movement is controlled by its own locking handle meaning that one axis can be adjusted without upsetting the other two.
The Giottos MH5001 is manufactured from die cast aluminium with a durable enamelled finish and features a quick release plate system with secondary safety catch for quick camera attachment and removal. Two bubble levels ensure your camera is level and large locking handles allow precise control over the camera positioning.
Giottos Ball Head Series I
Great for photographers who require fast and easy camera positioning. All three axes of movement are controlled by releasing one single locking lever, so when unlocked you can pan, tilt and level your camera in one movement.
Giottos Ball Head Series II
Retaining the rapid camera positioning associated with the Series I ball heads, the Series II range incorporates additional features to ensure that camera positioning can be made with even more precision. In addition to the ball locking lever an additional control allows you to adjust the friction on the ball whilst unlocked, meaning that you can set the friction to suit the weight of your camera and lens combination. With friction applied to the ball you have far greater control over the speed with which the ball will move and ultimately allow more precise positioning. Other features include an additional pan lock control, an extra large weight saving hollowed ball to ensure stability whilst retaining excellent maximum weight capacities.
Giottos Pro Monopods
All the benefits of the Vertical Column tripods with the added benefit of being able to move the column from its vertical position through a 180 degree angle and lock where required. This feature, when combined with the variable leg angle settings, now offers you the capability to position your camera exactly where you need it to achieve that perfect close-up shot. Available in either aluminium or carbon fibre for even lighter weight.
The Giottos carbon fibre monopod also features the option of 4 leg rections that mean the folded height of the monopod is more compact whilst there is no loss to the maximum height.
The new Giotto's Vitruvian VGR tripods are designed to offer photographers not only a truly lightweight and compact tripod, but a full function monopod and ball head.
